Kenya is known for its breathtaking honeymoon tour destinations, including Masai Mara, Amboseli, Samburu, and Lake Nakuru. For those who prefer all-inclusive honeymoons, you can consider the Aberdare Country Club, the Fairmont Hotel, or the Mayian luxury resort, all located around the Mt Kenya region.
If you’re looking for a sandy beach experience, Mombasa and Malindi offer some of the best resorts for honeymooners. To ensure a stress-free trip, consider booking an all-inclusive package for your honeymoon safari in Kenya. It’s also important to communicate your budget to your planner so they can tailor the package to your needs, whether you’re looking for a cheap honeymoon in Kenya or a luxury experience.
Below is a 7-day Kenya honeymoon package itinerary, but keep in mind that it can be customized to fit your budget and expectations. Just let us know what you’re looking for, and we’ll be more than happy to help!
Welcome to your dream Kenya Honeymoon package! We will there to greet you with a smile at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After a warm welcome, your tour director will activate your phone so you can stay connected with your friends and employees back at home. You will then hop on one of our luxurious safari vehicles and drive through Mombasa Road to the Nairobi hotel of your choice.
If we stick to the 08:00 hrs rule, we should reach Amboseli in time for lunch. You might feel hungry by then, so we’ll stop at your preferred hotel in Amboseli National Park for lunch before heading out on our first game drive of the park.
Amboseli National Park is an exceptional park situated at the foot of the largest mountain in East Africa, Mt. Kilimanjaro. The snow-capped peak of the mountain is always a sight to behold, but Amboseli is most famous for its large herds of elephants.
On your second day, we will begin with a morning game drive in Kenya. You might have missed some animals during your daybreak drive in Amboseli yesterday because many of them are nocturnal creatures. This morning game drive gives you another opportunity to spot them. Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture these moments!
After the game drive, we’ll return to your camp or lodge for lunch, and you’ll have some free time to relax before the evening bush dinner.
The distance from the Amboseli National Park to Lake Nakuru National Park will take us approximately 6-7 hours. So, be an early bird.
Our first stop will be the Great Rift Valley, the viewpoint for a photograph or two. If you would like to, there is a curio shop at the viewpoint where you can buy souvenirs. We will then resume the safari to get to Lake Nakuru in time for lunch.
We will check in to your safari camp of choice, have lunch, and set out for the afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is far from ordinary. It is not just a simple lake; it is a pink lake. However, scientifically speaking, Lake Nakuru is not pink. It got its name (Pink Lake) due to the masses of pink flamingos that flock to it, making it look pink.
The distance between Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara National Reserve is approximately 340 km, and it will take us around 5-6 hours to reach our destination by road. Let’s assume we depart Nakuru at 0800 hours; we should arrive at Masai Mara in time for lunch.
After lunch, you can take some time to refresh and relax before we head out for the evening game drive. The Masai Mara is famous for its rich and diverse wildlife, breathtaking scenery, and surreal ambiance. It is home to the largest land migration on earth, the Great Wildebeest Migration.
During the migration, over 2 million wildebeests migrate across the Serengeti plains, facing famine and predators, and crossing the crocodile-infested Mara River into the Kenyan Masai Mara National Reserve.
You will enjoy an overnight stay at the Sekenani Camp, where you can enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night.
On day 6 of your Kenya honeymoon safari package we will begin with breakfast before embarking on a drive across the savannahs towards the Masai Mara River. The Masai Mara is renowned for having the highest number of lions in the region. If we are fortunate enough, we may come across a pride of lions chasing after helpless gazelles or relaxing under the shade of trees.
If you enjoy watching wildlife shows, chances are you have come across an episode or two of Big Cat Diaries on BBC. The series was filmed in the Masai Mara, showcasing the predominant presence of the big cat family, with the lions leading the way. On our route, you will have an opportunity to see the Kenya-Tanzania border that forms one side of the Mara Triangle. After reaching there, it will be lunchtime, and we will stop for a packed lunch.
After lunch, we will continue with our wildlife watching for another couple of hours before heading back to the hotel.
On this day, we set out on the 6-hour return trip to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home. We hope you have enjoyed your time in Kenya and look forward to seeing you again soon. Kwaheri bye!
