A 10-day Big Cats safari itinerary is an exciting wildlife experience that offers the opportunity to observe some of the world’s most magnificent animals in their natural habitat. Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, a representative from Smile View Kenya Safaris will meet and welcome you. They will then transfer you to your preferred hotel for an overnight stay with a Bed & Breakfast meal plan. The luxury accommodation option is the Panari Sky Hotel, the mid-range option is the Fairmont Lenana Hotel, and the budget option is the Henessi Hotel Nairobi.
After having breakfast, depart for Amboseli National Park situated at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro, covered in snow. Explore the park and look for its remarkable African wildlife such as red elephants, leopards, cheetahs, and a plethora of plains game wandering freely in swamps, springs, and shimmering dried lake beds. In the evening, enjoy a lavish welcome dinner with your fellow guests. You can choose to spend the night at Oltukai Lodge for luxury accommodation, AA Lodge for mid-range accommodation, or Kimana Camp/Nyati Safari Camp for budget accommodation.
After enjoying a delicious breakfast at your hotel, you will meet your safari driver who will provide you with a brief on the safari. You will then check out and head towards Samburu National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch at your chosen lodge. In the afternoon, you will embark on an exciting game drive, where you will have the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife such as zebras, lions, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, Blue-legged Somali Ostriches, and more. In the evening, you will enjoy dinner at your lodge before spending the night there.

Spending a full day at Samburu National Reserve is always a fantastic option. You can enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive, go on camel rides, take guided walks, and experience fly camping, among other activities. After breakfast, you will leave Samburu and head to Aberdare National Park. Upon arrival, you will be ushered into your lodge for lunch and refreshments. Afterward, you will embark on an afternoon game drive until late evening. Later, you will return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

After enjoying breakfast, you will need to check out of your hotel and proceed to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival, you will be served lunch and rest for a while. Then, starting from 4 pm, you will visit the Masai Villages to learn more about their traditions and culture. You can also enjoy some campfire during this time.
For your accommodation, Sekenani Luxury Camp is a great option for those who prefer luxury. For a mid-range budget, you can choose Jambo Mara Lodge. Rhino Tourist Camp is a budget-friendly option.
We will start our day with breakfast at 5:30 am, and then head out for a full day of game viewing in the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. This reserve is a wildlife paradise, where you can find virtually every type of animal. The name “Mara” means “spotted, speckled, and dotted” in the language of the Maasai people, who named this beautiful land of trees, shrubs, savannah grasslands, and cloud shadows.
We will drive to the Mara River, where we will enjoy a picnic lunch under the bushes by the river-side while watching hippos and crocodiles. After lunch, we will continue our game drive and explore the reserve further. In the evening, we will have dinner and stay overnight in a self-contained tented camp or lodge.
After checking out of your lodge or camp, you will drive back to Nairobi. Along the way, you will make a brief stop at the Rift Valley viewpoint before continuing to Nairobi. You will arrive in Nairobi at 2 pm and enjoy lunch before being transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
